George Lohmer is a 30-year employee of the Minnesota Medical Association and its related organizations. As Chief Financial Officer and Director of Business Development, he oversees internal administrative functions as well as the more public outreach functions of the MMA and its related organizations. He is CEO of Minnesota Medical Business Resources and CEO of MMJSO, a holding company of the MMA.
As CEO of the MMA Foundation, Mr. Lohmer initiated and oversaw the strategic planning process. That process called upon the vision and expertise of MMA and MMA Foundation leadership as well as that of community leaders within and outside of medicine. That process concluded by identifying key areas for strategic action including medical student scholarships and programs to reach the medically underserved and address the crisis in rural medicine. Mr. Lohmer directs the programs of the organization and continues to work with board leadership and staff to carry out the mission and objectives of the MMA Foundation.
Mr. Lohmer holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Health Administration degree from the University of Iowa.

Dennis Kelly came to the MMA Foundation in 2006 as its first full-time staff member. As chief development officer for the foundation, he is building a comprehensive development program that will sustain the foundation’s programs into the future. His experience as a nonprofit executive has proven valuable in the development of the MMA Foundation’s programming and in developing partnerships that will address the organization’s strategic goals.
Dennis has served in executive and financial development positions for nonprofit organizations in the Twin Cities and elsewhere. His work includes Director of the West Metro Region for the American Heart Association, Minnesota Affiliate, Director of Development for the Minnesota AIDS Project, and Executive Director for Historic Murphy’s Landing. Before coming to the MMA Foundation, Dennis was Director of Development for the American Red Cross of the St. Paul Area.
He holds a BA from St. Thomas College and a Masters in Management and Administration from Metropolitan State University. Dennis serves on the Board of Directors and the Education Committee for the Association of Fundraising Professionals Minnesota Chapter and has earned the international credential for fundraising professionals, CFRE.
